Guardian Wealth Strategies is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all staff, clients, business partners and visitors. To ensure this, we have developed a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines, federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19 and Minnesota Executive Order 20-48. This plan may be modified as new recommendations and guidelines are provided.

Below are some highlights of the plan.

Remote Working

Due to Guardian's status as an essential business and the nature of the services we provide to our clients, it is optimal that Guardian staff conduct their work in the office whenever possible. Security and technology allow certain office functions to be performed from remote locations and are being utilized by staff when appropriate.

Social Distancing

Social distancing of six feet will be implemented and maintained between staff, clients and visitors in the workplace. Staff members collaborating together are encouraged to do so thoughtfully while respecting social distancing guidelines.

Meeting Options

Clients are encouraged to meet with their advisory team in an environment that is comfortable for them. Guardian offers many alternative methods for staying connected. In addition to in-person meetings, we effectively leverage technology via email, phone calls, video conferencing and screen-sharing to engage our client relationships. Please communicate with your advisory team to determine the most appropriate meeting arrangement.

Conference Room Capacity

Guardian has reduced the capacity of our office conference rooms to allow for social distancing. Seating locations are clearly marked, and each room is thoroughly sanitized before and after each meeting. Conference room doors are encouraged to be left open to enhance circulation and air flow.

Face Masks

To minimize potential asymptomatic exposure of COVID-19, our staff are asked to wear face masks when interacting with clients. Clients are not required to wear face masks and are encouraged to share their preferences with their advisory team prior to meeting.

Self-Monitoring Symptoms

Our staff have been informed of and encouraged to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Staff are asked to stay at home when they are sick, when household members are sick, or when required by a health care provider to isolate or quarantine themselves or a member of their household. We ask clients and other visitors to extend the same level of care.

Exposure Notification

Guardian has implemented a policy for informing staff if they have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 at their workplace and requiring them to quarantine for the required amount of time. In addition, a policy has been implemented to protect the privacy of workers’ health status and health information.

Cleaning, Disinfection, and Ventilation

Regular housekeeping practices are being implemented, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of work surfaces and equipment. Frequent cleaning and disinfecting are conducted in high-touch areas, such as phones, keyboards, touch screens, controls, door handles, elevator panels, railings, copy machines, etc. Hand sanitizer dispensers (that use sanitizers of greater than 60% alcohol) are available at entrances and locations in the workplace.
