Gregg is a founding member and Managing Partner of Guardian Wealth Strategies. He has over 16 years of industry experience as a Senior Wealth Advisor – eight of which were spent leading a team of advisors and support staff for the TIAA Minneapolis office. Gregg graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and received his Certificate of Financial Planning (CFP®) from the University of St Thomas.
Gregg has a passion for simplifying complex financial concepts into easy-to-understand language that clients with diverse backgrounds can understand. His professional standard is to create a thoughtful, client-centered culture that promotes long-term relationships.
When he is not navigating through the individual variables of financial plans, Gregg and his wife can be found supporting their four children as they participate in a variety of activities including hockey, soccer, piano and gymnastics.
Brent is a founding member and Managing Partner of Guardian Wealth Strategies. He brings a unique talent to the Guardian leadership team. Brent graduated from Hamline University with a degree in Education and has over 16 years of experience serving clients with college and university career backgrounds.
Brent has a passion for coordinating the different components of a client’s profile (investments, taxes, estate planning, etc.) into an efficient and integrated financial plan.
Brent and his wife enjoy spending time at their cabin on the North Shore with their two young daughters. While “up north,” Brent also finds time to support and engage Guardian’s northern Minnesota clientele.
Ben joined the Guardian team in 2017 after many years of working in business and personal finance.
As the director of Guardian Institutional, Ben partners with businesses and nonprofits to bring clarity to the investment options of their defined contribution plans and endowment funds.
Ben and his wife, Marisa, stay busy with their three young children – coaching baseball, basketball and flag football. Whenever possible, they enjoy the outdoors and nature while hiking, canoeing, camping and hunting in northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin.
Paul has been in the personal finance and investment management field since 1996. He has a special talent for translating complex financial issues into simple, clear concepts and implementing an action plan to facilitate his clients’ pursuit of their financial goals. Paul thrives on helping multi-generational families – as well as institutional clients such as pension funds, nonprofit organizations and corporations - grow, manage, preserve and transfer their wealth in a meaningful way. His approach is client oriented and global in focus, specializing in investment management, retirement and college planning, estate conservation and strategic income strategies.
Paul is a Certified Executive Green Belt in the prestigious Six Sigma business management strategy program and has earned the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) designation from the International Foundation for Retirement Education. He has passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination allowing him to act as an investment advisor and binding him to the Fiduciary Standard – the absolute highest level of care in the industry.
Paul and his wife Amy live in Shorewood, MN with their son Andrew, their daughters Grace and Catherine and their Weimaraner, Charlie. He loves to cook, is a voracious reader and an avid history buff. When not coaching one of the kids many sports endeavors, Paul enjoys playing golf, riding the “back bowls” of Vail on his snowboard and running the (very) occasional 5k.
With over 35 years of industry-related experience, Norma Jo brings a depth of knowledge to the Guardian team. She has a natural ability to connect with clients and help simplify many of the processes involved with client accounts.
Norma Jo attended the University of Northwestern, St. Paul and studied Business Management. She prides herself on transparency and the pursuit of excellence.
To relax, Norma Jo loves to cook, bake and spend time in her garden; especially when she gets to share those activities with her son, Chris. Norma Jo also enjoys volunteering her time and giving back whenever she can.
After many years of experience in the financial services industry, Krystine joined the Guardian family as the Director of Operations. Her hands-on approach helps clients navigate the industry paperwork that may seem intimidating.
Krystine and her husband have a young daughter, and an energetic dog named Duke. They enjoy remodeling and landscaping their home; and most importantly, spending time together as a family.
Clifton has over 15 years of experience working in various aspects of the financial industry. He has owned several companies, both domestic and international, and has a background in operations and accounting.
With his unique skills in business management, Clifton works with our industry partners to continually improve the organization.
Clifton is married, and the proud father of three children. He enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Barry brings more than 20 years of accounting and investment experience to Guardian Tax. With his unique background in both disciplines, Barry’s experience is invaluable with tax projections and strategic tax planning.
Barry graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University with a B.A. in Finance and Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Outside the office, Barry enjoys golfing, tennis and going on hikes with his dog, Jasper, in his home state of Washington.
Christina has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of the accounting field. Her past employers have included manufacturing, service, construction and government organizations. In addition, Christina has experience with human resources, project management, training, providing technical assistance and custom database development services to a wide variety of clients.
Christina is proficient in the use of numerous accounting software products and is able to provide training for Peachtree and QuickBooks.
Christina became an Enrolled Agent in February 2016. As an Enrolled Agent she can advise, represent and prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and any entity with tax-reporting requirements. Christina is required to complete 72 hours of continuing professional education every three years to maintain her enrolled status.

Christina is a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers (NATP), the Minnesota Chapter of Enrolled Agents (MNSEA) and the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA).
Christina studied at Anoka Ramsey Community College. She has attended numerous accounting, tax, human resources, management, project management and software trainings. Christina continues to attend classes on a regular basis to keep up to date with the changing laws and regulations.
David is an estate planning attorney with the Johnson Law Group and services clients for Guardian Wealth Strategies.
David has been practicing law since 1998, devoting much of his practice to estate planning for individuals and families. Mr. Huart enjoys building strong relationships with his clients and providing them with a sense of security and peace of mind knowing they have thoughtfully provided for the future of their loved ones.
David enjoys an active life with his two beautiful, young daughters and spending time listening to music, attending concerts and working in his yard.
Kevin is an estate planning attorney with the Johnson Law Group and services clients for Guardian Wealth Strategies.
Born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin, Kevin worked for more than 10 years as a registered financial professional in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin before he graduated from law school and commenced his legal career.
Kevin has assisted all kinds of legal clients, including farmers, business owners, educators, executives, landlords, and retirees. He enjoys helping his clients complete their personalized estate portfolios.
Kevin enjoys Wisconsin’s great outdoors, whether it’s on the trail, out on the water or up in the woods. He also enjoys road trips, sporting events, and fantasy sports.
